Olivia

Olivia is eight years old.  She met Midori in the Fall of '07 and has since fallen in love with her and her horses Red, Lilly, and Squirt (as well as the barn cats and the chickens too!) Olivia’s grandmother, Yvonne, has two Quarter horses named Salty and T.R., so Olivia, and her little sister Amelia, have been around horses all their lives.  Their mom and aunts rode horses too.  Before taking lessons with Midori, Olivia could feed, care for, groom, and ride a horse, but she did not have the finesse and very basic understanding of natural horsemanship that she now has with Midori.  Grandma Yvonne and her horse-loving friends have recently noticed and commented upon Olivia’s transformation—her improved posture and balance, knowledge of horse care, riding, and safety, and her confidence both on and off her horse.  Olivia’s growing confidence is supporting her in school and at home as well.  She is truly blooming under Midori’s patient and consistent guidance.  Midori is a unique soul who radiates wisdom in a very practical manner.  It is very obvious, after spending time with Midori, that she has vast experience and lives the life of a true horsewoman.  We cannot recommend Midori enough- to those who are just now discovering horsemanship, and to those who have been around the block a few times too!
